Pets Forever at Home Fur-ever

Saving Our Furry Friends One Wagging Tail at a Time

Abandoned Animals Need Your Help!

In today’s economy families are being adversely affected in a number of ways, not the least of which is a lack of financial resources to care for the family pet.  In most such situations, the decision to surrender a well-loved pet is held until the last possible minute and results in a teary-eyed surrender at a local animal shelter.  In other cases, the pet is dropped off by the side of the road or left abandoned in an empty house the family has been forced to surrender.

In cases where the animal is dropped off by the road or abandoned in a house, this animal that is used to being cared for and fed on a regular basis is now left to fend for itself.  It struggles to find nourishment and shelter anywhere it can – until it finally succumbs to hunger, is attacked by other animals also struggling to survive, or gets hit by a vehicle.  However, if very, very lucky the animal is found by someone in a rescue organization such as HomeFur-ever, and given an opportunity for a second chance at a happy life.

Animals rescued by HomeFur-ever and other rescue organizations are given medical treatment, are spayed or neutered, are re-socialized, and are cared for by volunteer foster parents until a “forever home” can be found for them.  The work is gut-wrenching, expensive, and never-ending, but  the rewards are substantial.  Nothing feels better than having an animal that was near-death when found recover and be adopted by a family who will love them unconditionally for the rest of their lives!

Rescue organizations such as HomeFur-ever are totally dependent upon volunteers and donations.  We are always searching for new volunteers to aid our efforts, foster homes for our animals, vets to donate their services to our rescued friends, and donations we can use to pay for food and medications.  Are you willing to help animals in need?   If so, click HERE to see the ways we can use your help.
